Job summary

Jack Henry is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to independently drive the technical design, prototyping, and implementation of new products and enhancements. The role covers all development phases, from concept to production, with cross-functional collaboration across teams.

The candidate will lead complex technical decisions, mentor teammates, and ensure secure, scalable software delivery while aligning with our mission to empower financial institutions and deliver human-centered experiences.

Qualifications

Minimum 9 years of experience in software development.
Minimum 4 years of experience with C#.
Minimum 3 years of experience with APIs/Web Services.
Experience with design patterns and/or SOLID principles.

Responsibilities

Lead product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolution.
Lead system analysis and programming activities to ensure timely, quality delivery of software.
Provide engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery to retirement.
Lead testing and review of applications based on requirements and industry practices.
Create and review technical documentation; adhere to standards and guide junior engineers.
Collaborate with QA to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
