Job summary

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) seeks an Assistant SR Roadway GIS Data Steward to independently maintain statewide DMI and GIS-based SR LRS data and roadway inventory. You will ensure accuracy of data reflecting roadway changes to support safety analysis, planning, and maintenance, using ArcGIS Pro, Power BI, and FME.

The role requires strong GIS/data management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Data extraction and interpretation from multiple spatial/non-spatial data sources.
Enter, update, and maintain data in enterprise spatial and non-spatial databases (RCI).
Perform QA/QC to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Provide technical assistance and respond to data requests with a customer service focus.
Analyze GIS and tabular data to identify issues and ensure data integrity.
Manage multiple assignments with deadlines and high attention to detail.
Collaborate with IT staff and program partners across teams.
Demonstrate a growth mindset and service-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

Study construction docs, imagery, GPS data to calculate LRS milepost values and geometry changes for data entry.
Collect data changes from plans, GPS data, field verification for entry.
Record information into Roadway Characteristics Inventory (RCI).
Provide technical support to SR data customers.
Coordinate with system admins to share SR data to ArcGIS and cloud platforms.
Use ArcGIS Pro, Power BI, FME to deliver customized tabular and GIS data.
