Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Manager, Reimbursement and Payment Policy to join the Orthopaedics team. Location is flexible within major US hubs with remote options considered case-by-case.

You will lead CMS policy strategy, monitor payer updates, and manage hotline and coding guides to support market access for orthopaedic devices. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in reimbursement and health policy, strong analytics, and the ability to work across Legal, Compliance, and Commercial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Policy, Health Economics, Public Health, Business or related field.
• 5–10 years in reimbursement, health policy, market access, or healthcare consulting.
• Knowledge of U.S. CMS reimbursement systems and CPT/HCPCS coding.
• Experience translating CMS regulations into actionable materials.
• Experience managing vendors, programs, or customer support operations.

Responsibilities

• Support CMS payment policy strategy for Orthopaedics across Medicare systems (IPPS/MS-DRGs, OPPS/ASC, Physician Fee Schedule).
• Research coding and coverage positions for pipeline and in-line products; address DRG, APC, and code questions.
• Assist in reimbursement assessments for product launches and lifecycle management.
• Monitor CMS rules, Medicaid and payer updates; summarize implications for stakeholders.
• Manage end-to-end hotline vendor relationships with performance metrics and compliance.
• Lead updates for coding guides, FAQs, and customer resources across portfolios.
