Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Manager, Reimbursement and Payment Policy to join our Orthopaedics team. You will develop payment policy strategy across Medicare systems, guide coding and coverage decisions, and lead field education and vendor oversight.

This is an individual contributor role requiring 5–10 years in reimbursement or health policy, with strong analytical, writing, and cross-functional collaboration skills; remote or case-by-case onsite options may apply.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in reimbursement, health policy, market access, or healthcare consulting, preferably in the medical device or life sciences industry.
• Working knowledge of U.S. reimbursement systems, including Medicare payment structures and coding frameworks (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM/PCS).
• Experience interpreting CMS regulations and translating them into business implications and written materials such as comment letters or briefs.

Responsibilities

• CMS Payment Policy Support: Develop and execute payment policy strategy for the Orthopaedics portfolio across Medicare systems.
• Policy Monitoring & Analysis: Track CMS rules, Medicaid and payer policy updates and summarize implications.
• Reimbursement Hotline & Vendor Management: Manage day-to-day hotline operations and vendor relationships.
• Coding Guides, Reimbursement Tools & Field Education: Lead updates of guides, FAQs, and training materials.
• External Engagement & Advocacy Support: Draft materials for CMS engagements and stakeholder interactions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Evidence Integration: Partner with Health Economics and Regulatory teams to support reimbursement strategies.
