Job summary

Sartorius Royston is seeking a Purchasing Specialist on a fixed-term contract to end of November 2027. The role focuses on execution of purchase orders, supplier coordination, and maintaining accurate procurement data to support uninterrupted operations.

Hybrid working options may apply and the team emphasizes continuous improvement in supply processes. The successful candidate will have experience in purchasing/procurement, strong Excel and ERP/MRP familiarity, and ideally a CIPS qualification.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline (advantage)
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations in manufacturing/industrial environments
• Solid understanding of operational purchasing and transactional procurement
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and high transaction volumes with accuracy
• Proactive problem-solving and adaptability to changing priorities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across functions
• Experience using SAP or other ERP/MRP systems; strong Excel skills
• CIPS qualification or working towards CIPS certification (advantage)

Responsibilities

• Execute purchase orders for materials and services within approved suppliers and contracts to ensure continuous operational supply
• Coordinate order confirmations, deliveries, and invoice clarifications with suppliers
• Resolve short-term supply, delivery, and quality issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Maintain purchasing data, pricing, and lead times in procurement systems with data quality standards
• Support changing operational demands by coordinating with Manufacturing, Logistics and Planning
• Provide input on supplier delivery performance and recurring issues to sourcing or category management teams
