Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD in Bioinformatics or related field with 2+ years biotech experience
• BS or MS in Bioinformatics, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or related field with 7+ years biotech experience
• Strong technical knowledge of NGS applications and bioinformatics required for NGS data analysis (WES, RNA-seq, Methylation)
• Knowledge and experience using bioinformatic tools (BWA, GATK, IGV, UCSC, SAMtools, Picard, bedtools)
• Experience in Linux environment and command line applications
• High self-motivation and collaborative team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide expert pre and post-sales discussions of Twist’s NGS capabilities with customers
• Design and support custom NGS panel designs using an existing workflow
• Provide bioinformatics support for NGS data analysis to support troubleshooting and PoC
• Support sales team in technical discussions, presentations, and meetings with customers
• Provide high level technical support to customers and input on experiments using Twist products
• Keep up to date with genomic research and advancements in the field
• Liaise between customer, sales team, product management, and internal teams including R&D and Production
• Identify and nurture collaborations with the Sales team to gather customer feedback for new applications/products
• Travel up to ~10% to work in the field with Sales or attend meetings with customers
