Job summary

Computercraft is seeking a Biomedical Curator to support the National Library of Medicine at NIH in Bethesda, Maryland. This full-time role involves reviewing MEDLINE citations indexed with MeSH in the PMDM system and adjusting indexing as needed, with a remote-eligible arrangement.

Responsibilities include manual MeSH indexing, gene linking to the NCBI Gene database, and QA tasks such as constructing PubMed searches and submitting batch corrections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in biology, biomedical science, or a related field.
• Strong biomedical vocabulary and ability to analyze biomedical literature.
• Familiarity with MeSH, controlled vocabularies, and indexing principles.
• Ability to obtain public trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review machine-indexed MEDLINE citations and adjust indexing per policy.
• Manually index MEDLINE citations with MeSH in the PMDM system.
• Link genes mentioned in citations to the NCBI Gene database.
• Perform quality assurance tasks, including targeted PubMed searches and batch corrections.
