Zusammenfassung

Computercraft Corporation seeks Cataloging Librarians to support the National Library of Medicine (NLM) at NIH in Bethesda, MD. The role is full-time and on site, focusing on descriptive cataloging, subject analysis, and classification for biomedical literature and associated media.

You will handle MeSH indexing, authority work, and record updates, contributing to national standards and high-quality bibliographic data. A MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited program is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Three or more years of library/cataloging experience.
• Familiarity with controlled vocabularies (MeSH/LCSH/LC Classification).
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Aufgaben

• Descriptive cataloging following RDA and BSR/CSR as applicable.
• Create name and series authority records for NACO contributions.
• Select MeSH subjects and assign appropriate classifications.
• Update cataloging records and holdings per standards.
