Job summary

MSCCN is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer to ensure a highly available mainframe environment. You will manage CICS/MQ across LPARs, monitor health, and troubleshoot root causes within an IBM zEnterprise environment.

The role requires 3+ years in mainframe tasks, strong problem solving, and experience with z/OS utilities, JCL, and automation. On-call rotation and flexible scheduling are included.

Qualifications

• Experience with mainframe systems programming and subsystems.
• Knowledge of z/OS utilities and mainframe architecture.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex issues with minimal defects.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and manage CICS/MQ environments across LPARs.
• Monitor health of CICS/MQ; troubleshoot and root-cause issues.
• Support z/OS using SMP/E, ISPF/SDSF, USS, JES2, JCL, and related tools.
• Provide stable mainframe subsystem support and disaster recovery participation.
• Build alerts and automation scripts; analyze performance metrics for improvements.
• Research new technologies for potential deployment; assess risks for changes.

Education
