Job summary

Prince William County’s Department of Development Services seeks a Land Development Project Manager to lead and manage site plan projects, resolve Code and ordinance issues, and provide input on county codes and guidance documents. The role involves site visits, coordinating with engineers and inspectors, and researching development projects.

The position offers a standard Monday–Friday schedule with telework 1–2 days per week after probation, and a strong benefits package including retirement,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 6 years of related experience.
• Related experience includes land development approval, plan and regulatory review, coordination with developers, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Manage Land Development Site Plan projects.
• Proactively resolve engineering, ordinance, proffer, and other Code issues.
• Respond to information requests.
• Provide input to updates of County Codes and guidance documents.
• Conduct site visits.
• Resolve engineering and field issues with Engineers and Site Inspectors.
• Research projects.
