Job summary

Allstate in-house litigation team seeks an Early Career Trial Attorney to defend insureds and the company in bodily injury and property damage cases, with arbitrations, mediations, and occasional trials. You will provide counsel to business clients, coordinate with legal teams, and monitor evolving laws to keep strategies sharp.

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate with strong legal writing and research skills.
Active membership in good standing with the Virginia State Bar.
Proven ability to manage complex litigation matters and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict.
Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research for cases.
Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents; prepare summaries.
Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other documents.
Interview clients/witnesses and maintain communication records.
Attend hearings, depositions, and trials and assist as needed.
