Job summary

Penfield Search Partners Ltd is seeking a Full Stack Clinical Platform Engineer, Digital Transformation to design, implement, and operate production-grade Generative AI and ML solutions for Global Development. The role collaborates with Clinical Operations, Data Management, Regulatory, and IT to build modern data platforms and AI-enabled pipelines.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in computer science or related field.
• 5–7 years of data engineering in life sciences or healthcare.
• Expertise in clinical data infrastructure and data lakes/warehouses.
• Cloud data platforms and programming in Python/SQL.
• Cloud architecture and DevOps with CI/CD; containerization.
• Regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, 21 CFR Part 11) experience.
• Hands-on ML pipelines in regulated environments.
• Strong cross-functional communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate clinical/operational problems into AI solutions from framing to production deployment.
• Design and implement MLOps/LLMOps pipelines for LLMs in production.
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy/finetune Generative AI models.
• Develop scalable data and ML pipelines across the clinical development ecosystem.
• Evaluate AI tools and frameworks to balance compliance, performance, cost.
• Maintain robust data pipelines integrating internal and external data sources.
• Increase data interoperability across Global Development systems.
• Implement automated quality monitoring pipelines for data and CRO data.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, 21 CFR Part 11 and data governance.
