Job summary

Montgomery College is seeking a full-time Financial Aid Management Systems Specialist II to manage Banner Financial Aid and related systems. The role supports system configuration, upgrades, reporting, and training for staff and students in a hybrid work setup (1 telework day per week).

The specialist will work under the Student Information Systems Manager to ensure data integrity and compliance with federal/state financial aid regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field.
• Three years of experience with a student information system or ERP.
• Experience with Oracle SQL or Crystal reports.
• Strong knowledge of student information systems and financial aid processes.
• Ability to analyze business processes and data to make recommendations.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel (Advanced).

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain integrated financial aid management systems (Banner, ImageNow, Dynamic Forms).
• Coordinate system upgrades and ensure data quality.
• Provide end-user training and support.
• Develop operating protocols and system documentation.
• Create and validate financial aid reports for federal/state agencies.
• Assist with audits and data definitions with Institutional Research.
