Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of construction inspection experience on heavy construction projects or equivalent training.
• Associate Degree in Building Construction Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Site inspections to assess construction activities, materials and conditions.
• Review plans, permits and specifications to verify enforcement and adherence.
• Accept or reject materials and workmanship based on established requirements.
• Inspect erosion and sediment control devices and ensure corrective actions.
• Compile daily records, prepare reports, and submit estimates using electronic tools.
• Examine mine-related complaints and provide written findings and recommendations.
