Job summary

The Department of Environmental Protection is seeking an Environmental Projects Construction Inspector in Cambria County, PA, to inspect construction, environmental, and mine reclamation projects for permit and plan compliance.

The role involves field site inspections, contract compliance reviews, material acceptance decisions, erosion control oversight, documentation, and complaint investigations across multiple Western PA counties.

Qualifications

Two years of construction inspection experience on heavy projects (dams, flood control, mine reclamation, treatment plants, highways).
Associate Degree in Building Construction Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or related field.
Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and PA residency requirement.
Ability to travel to project sites across 13 Western PA counties.

Responsibilities

Inspect construction, environmental, and mine reclamation projects for compliance.
Review contracts for compliance and enforce specifications.
Make material acceptance decisions and oversee erosion control.
Document findings and maintain records.
Investigate complaints related to project execution.
