Job summary

PayPal, Inc. in Utah seeks a Director, Bank Controller to lead PayPal Bank’s controllership function, owning books, accounting policy, close, GAAP/regulatory reporting, and audits.

Reports to Bank CFO and partners with Finance, Treasury, Risk, Legal, Tax, Operations, Tech, and Internal Audit as the accounting SME for regulators and auditors. The role requires CPA, 10+ years in accounting/controllership within regulated banking, and 5+ years in senior management.

Qualifications

• CPA license required; 10+ years accounting and controllership experience; 5+ years in senior management with responsibility for accounting teams and reporting

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of financial controllers and ensure effective performance
• Perform risk assessments and improve control and risk management framework
• Develop and maintain accounting and reporting processes in compliance with laws and regulations
• Monitor KPIs and KRIs to drive operational performance
• Ensure regulatory compliance of outsourced activities
• Manage month-end close and present reports to senior leadership
• Shape CAO and finance strategy and advise stakeholders across the enterprise
