Job summary

PayPal is seeking a strategic and hands-on VP, Corporate Controller to lead our global accounting and financial reporting org. This role oversees SEC reporting, technical accounting, sustainability reporting, and global policy, aligning with Investor Relations and the Board.

The position requires deep US GAAP expertise, strong leadership across multiple teams, and the ability to drive standardization and automation in close processes. Hybrid work model with US locations, including NYC.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Active CPA license.
12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience including public accounting.
Deep expertise in US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements; public company reporting experience.
Experience with financial services, fintech, or payments accounting matters.

Responsibilities

Own SEC reporting, 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy statements, ensuring GAAP compliance.
Lead quarterly/annual close and external reporting calendars.
Serve as liaison with external auditors and manage fiscal reporting reviews.
Set global technical accounting policies and monitor new standards.
Oversee sustainability/ESG reporting and data governance.
Mentor and develop a global accounting organization across functions.
