Job summary

Community Health Center of Snohomish County seeks a Patient Access Specialist-Dental to be the first contact at our Dental Clinics. You will answer calls, handle scheduling, pre-registration, and verify insurance within a centralized call center.

The role requires English proficiency, dental terminology knowledge, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Training is onsite, with remote work eligibility afterward, and a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Office Skills Certification Program or related field (preferred).
• 1 year of customer service experience with the general public (required).
• 1 year of clerical, reception, dental assisting, administrative or secretarial experience in healthcare/dental settings (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers patients in the practice management system.
• Schedules patients and maintains the appointment calendar.
• Reschedules patients when provider schedules change.
• Directs calls or takes messages in the electronic health record.
• Assist with insurance eligibility verification and discuss enrollment/discount options.
• Answer billing questions or route to appropriate team.
• Confirm appointments and arrange interpreter services.
