Job summary

Trail Realty is seeking commercial real estate professionals to develop client relationships and help originate and execute property sales. Experience at a CRE brokerage is highly valued, whether at a large national firm or a boutique shop.

Positions are 1099 contractors with commission-based compensation and no base salary. Remote candidates are considered, with San Francisco Bay Area or New York City preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior experience at a commercial real estate brokerage is strongly preferred, particularly work involving clients, business development, or transactions.
• Relevant adjacent CRE experience will also be considered. Your background does not have to be exclusively in investment sales; tell us how your experience translates to working with owners and executing commercial property sales.
• Confidence building relationships, reaching out to prospective clients, and discussing their real estate needs.
• Familiarity with property financials, market research, pricing, and the steps involved in a commercial transaction.
• Sound judgment, clear communication, consistent follow-through, and the ability to organize your own pipeline.
• Openness to adopting new tools that support your brokerage work.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with commercial property owners and buyers through outreach, referrals, and ongoing conversations.
• Identify potential assignments and help turn initial discussions into client engagements.
• Research properties, comparable transactions, and local markets to support pricing and client recommendations.
• Prepare property summaries, client presentations, and marketing materials with the team.
• Help qualify buyers, coordinate diligence and transaction information, and move negotiations and deals toward closing.
• Maintain clear records of client conversations, next steps, and active opportunities.
