Job summary

Communication and Instrumentation Supervisor II at the Bureau of Reclamation is a supervisory role overseeing the planning, scheduling, and directing work related to electronic, electrical, and electro-mechanical equipment maintenance for the Northern California Area Office.

The position includes coordinating with internal and external agencies, supervising up to six craft workers, and ensuring safety through regular meetings and performance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences to meet objectives
• Coordinates work and communicates with internal/external agencies and staff
• Directly supervises and oversees electronic trade employees and supporting staff
• Coordinates maintenance schedules and outages; performs testing, maintenance, repairs or troubleshooting
• Ensures safety; conducts weekly safety and daily crew meetings
• Oversees timekeeping, attendance, leave, performance standards and annual reviews
• Determines training needs and facilitates on-the-job training
