The Bureau of Reclamation in Sacramento seeks an Electronics Engineer to lead the upgrade and operation of communications systems, data distribution, and control systems for regional water and power facilities.

The role involves applying digital electronics, software practices, and telemetry knowledge to ensure reliability and compatibility with existing systems. On-call and shift work may be required, with coordination across engineers, IT specialists, and contractors.

Formación

• Experience in electronics engineering applied to communications, switching, and control systems.
• Familiarity with ICS, RTU and PLC interfaces to sensors and automation equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as SME on ICS/RTU/PLC interfaces for water and power facilities.
• Analyze and improve SCADA systems for performance and reliability.
• Prepare engineering plans and testing for ICS/SCADA integrations.
• Coordinate with engineers, IT specialists, operators, and contractors.
• Support hydroelectric power operations with electronics engineering guidance.
