Job summary

The U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office, seeks an Electrical Engineer to support the Yuma Desalting Plant and related systems.

You will analyze, design, model, and troubleshoot electrical distribution, instrumentation, PLC/ICS/HMI, and data historians to maintain reliable operations. Responsibilities include coordinating outages, performing condition assessments, and providing technical oversight for on-site construction and O&M work.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Experience with electrical distribution, control systems, and data analysis.
• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering support for Yuma Desalting Plant (YDP) power, distribution, and control systems.
• Design, model, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical equipment and systems.
• Coordinate maintenance, outages, and calibrations with operations and vendors.
• Review test data and ensure QA/QC in ICs/DCS software and firmware updates.
