ALPS seeks a skilled Claims Attorney to handle intake, investigation, evaluation, and resolution of lawyers' professional liability claims.JD required with 5+ years of relevant experience; must possess strong interpersonal, analytical, and negotiation skills.

Role requires coverage across jurisdictions, periodic travel, and ability to work independently within business hours. Remote work may be considered for eligible candidates.

Formación

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school required.
• Three years of experience in law or in lawyer's professional liability claims.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and business technologies; adapt to new tools.

Responsabilidades

• Review, investigate, and determine coverage for lawyer’s professional liability claims.
• Assess facts and law to evaluate risk to insured and company.
• Set reserves within authority or obtain approval for reserve levels.
• Coordinate and monitor defense of insureds and outside counsel when needed.
• Attend mediation, arbitration, trials, or hearings as required.
• Document and maintain claim files timely and objectively.
• Report to reinsurers as required by treaties.
• Assist insureds and staff with claims handling and policy interpretation.
• Contribute to company risk management programs.
• Attend meetings and CLEs as required.
