Job summary

Ada County is seeking an energetic Benefits Administrator to lead and optimize our group benefits programs for 2,300+ employees across diverse departments. You will manage relations with brokers, carriers, and consultants, ensuring compliant, clear communication of complex benefit options.

The role supports strategic engagement, cost-containment opportunities, and data-driven decision making, with remote work up to 2 days/week after training completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading benefits programs, vendor management, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication and training skills.
• Ability to translate complex benefits information for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and management of Ada County benefits programs.
• Coordinate with vendors, brokers, and consultants.
• Oversee compliance with ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA and IRS guidelines.
• Develop employee education and outreach on total rewards.
• Provide supervision and coaching to benefits staff.
• Analyze utilization, cost trends, and budget forecasts.
