Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) AES division seeks an Eligibility Advisor I (Temporary) in Kaufman, TX to assess financial eligibility for SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, and related programs. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; college hours preferred.
• One year of customer service with public contact; college credit substitution permitted.
• Experience interviewing clients in-person or by phone preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants and recipients to determine financial eligibility.
• Evaluate data to enter into eligibility system.
• Compute and authorize benefits based on eligibility.
• Process work per state/federal regulations and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
