Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking a licensed teacher to serve as the teacher of record for core subjects in an online Florida program. The role emphasizes academic achievement, culture, and state accountability with daily feedback and progress reporting.

You will deliver live lessons via web conferences, set up courses in the LMS, and differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs while collaborating with a principal on progress reports and data-driven adjustments.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience teaching preferred (two years).
• Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with observations, debriefs, action planning and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes.
• Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
• Must pass federal and state criminal background checks.
• Experience working in a multicultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in core content areas and grades.
• Work to meet goals related to student achievement, culture, and state accountability.
• Deliver effective live lessons via web conference and research-based practices.
• Complete course setup in the Learning Management System.
• Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and provide timely feedback and grades.
