Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an online K-12 teacher to serve as the teacher of record for core subjects in a Florida-based virtual academy. You will deliver live lessons, monitor progress, and maintain regular contact with families to support achievement and social-emotional growth.

The role requires a valid state teaching license, knowledge of state standards, and strong communication. Travel for state testing and events is required several times per year.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years’ experience teaching.
• High level of comfort in growth-focused coaching with frequent observations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in all core content areas and grade levels.
• Relentlessly work to meet goals related to student achievement and culture as well as state accountability goals.
• Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference based on student need.
• Complete course setup for each course within the Learning Management System.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback/grade assignments daily.
• Track and maintain contact with each student.
