Job summary

ACCEL Schools’ Virtual Preparatory Academy of Florida seeks qualified teachers for online K–12 instruction statewide. The role involves delivering rigorous, nurturing online lessons with live sessions, and coordinating with families for student progress.

Teachers will use a cutting-edge curriculum, set up courses in the LMS, monitor progress, and communicate regularly with families. Occasional travel for state testing and events is required.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years’ experience teaching.
• High level of comfort with growth-focused coaching based on observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Ability to manage confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor across core content areas.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference and differentiate instruction.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback daily.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
• Collaborate with Principal to create progress reports.
• Travel to support face-to-face state testing and events several times per year.
