Job summary

ACCEL Schools seeks an online Florida K-12 teacher of record to deliver live lessons, set up courses in the LMS, and monitor student progress. The role requires coordinating with the principal and families, differentiating instruction, and supporting social-emotional growth.

Travel for in-person state testing and events is required periodically. Eligibility is limited to Florida residents, with a focus on rigorous, nurturing instruction and culturally responsive practices.

Qualifications

• Active Florida teaching license in the appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Prefer two years’ teaching experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in core content areas.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference based on student need.
• Complete course setup in the LMS for each course.
• Monitor progress and provide daily feedback/grade assignments.
• Track and maintain contact with each student and families.
• Collaborate with Principal to create Progress Reports of Students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth.
