Job summary

Connections Education LLC is seeking qualified Elementary Substitute Teachers to support Connections Academy students nationwide from a home office. The role is part-time, with no benefits, and involves serving as the teacher of record during absences, coordinating with Learning Coaches, and delivering instruction via LiveLessons and online tools.

You will communicate regularly with families and school staff, monitor progress, complete grading, and maintain student records.

Qualifications

Valid and active state teaching certification.
Bachelor's degree or higher.
Experience with virtual/online teaching preferred.
Ability to maintain a distraction-free home workspace.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Be online and available to students, parents, and school staff Monday through Friday during assigned hours.
Develop and update individualized learning plans and schedules with Learning Coaches.
Complete grading, generate progress reports, and conduct parent conferences as needed.
Support instruction through synchronous and asynchronous online sessions (LiveLessons).
Assist students with daily assignments and projects and monitor progress.
Maintain accurate student records and data, including attendance and learning logs.
