Job summary

Great River Connections Academy is seeking an Elementary Teacher - 4/5 Social Studies in Ohio. The role supports and motivates K-12 students using Pearson Online Classroom, delivering synchronous instruction and data-driven interventions. Office or home-based in-state applicants are welcome.

You will develop individualized learning plans, provide feedback, and collaborate with parents, students, and staff to achieve high levels of student achievement and engagement in a virtual setting.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio teaching credential for K-5, 1-8 or 4-9.
• Strong tech skills with MS Office and Google Suite.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Highly organized and punctual.
• Student and family-focused approach.
• Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with interpersonal skills across diverse groups.
• Willingness to travel for events.
• Occasional evening hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Represent a commitment to equitable practice and provide individualized support.
• Deliver asynchronous lessons and synchronous instruction with communication and intervention.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback and coordinate parent conferences.
• Communicate with parents, students and teachers to update learning plans.
• Develop knowledge of the K-12 curriculum and specific grade knowledge.
• Collaborate within PLC to monitor data and drive instruction.
• Coordinate and attend school events, field trips, and state testing.
• Support marketing efforts and student recruitment as needed.
• Maintain accurate student records and family information.
