Job summary

Georgia Cyber Academy is seeking an Elementary Grades Band Teacher (ELA/SS) to deliver engaging online instruction in a primarily remote setting. The teacher will use data-driven strategies, partner with families, and implement a rigorous curriculum aligned to state standards.

The role supports high expectations, continuous assessment, and collaboration with grade-band leadership. The position is 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday, with responsibilities including test prep, student progress

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree AND six months of student teaching experience AND meet requirements for Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT)
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Implements instructional strategies to stimulate learning and increase student engagement.
• Creates instructional resources to meet varying needs of students.
• Takes ownership for student's academic progress and attendance, communicating high expectations and interest in achievement.
• Prepares students for high stakes standardized tests.
• Analyzes student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment as needed.
• Collaborates with parents and colleagues to manage course goals, curriculum, and materials.
• Hosting live synchronous sessions that promote a positive learning environment.
• Establishes and maintains positive rapport with families and regularly communicates with students and learning coaches/parents.
