Job summary

DataAnnotation seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to evaluate how frontier AI models handle hardware design, validation, and real-world constraints. You’ll bring years of experience in designing, debugging, and shipping analog and digital electronics to guide AI systems.

You will design challenging problems, run them through AI models, critique outputs, and justify engineering judgments with clear reasoning.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience in circuit or electronics engineering.
• Background in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong command of circuit analysis and design tradeoffs, and the ability to defend component-level and system-level decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic engineering problems for frontier AI models.
• Run problems through AI models and judge outputs against professional standards.
• Compare two model versions on identical prompts and assess performance.
• Critique model-generated derivations, schematics, component selections, and calculations with justification.
• Flag concrete failures with evidence: wrong assumptions, sign and unit errors, unphysical results, invalid topologies, fabricated datasheet values, or off-brief interpretation.
