Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to evaluate how frontier AI models handle real electrical and electronics engineering work. You bring the judgment built from years of hardware design, debugging, and shipping, while we provide engineering problems AI models can’t solve yet.

This role focuses on teaching AI to reason about circuits, systems, and physical constraints, where your engineering standards and rationale shape the next generation of tools.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (native or bilingual level).
• 2+ years of industry experience in circuit or electronics engineering.
• Background in electrical/electronics engineering or related discipline.
• Strong command of circuit analysis and design tradeoffs, able to defend decisions at component- and system-level.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging, realistic engineering problems for frontier AI models.
• Run problems through frontier AI models and judge outputs to professional standards.
• Compare two model versions on identical prompts and assess performance differences.
• Critique model-generated derivations, schematics, components, and calculations, and document reasoning.
• Flag concrete failures with evidence of wrong assumptions, sign errors, unphysical results, invalid topologies, or misinterpretations.
