Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to evaluate how frontier AI models handle real electrical and electronics engineering work. You will apply your engineering judgment to design problems, set evaluation criteria, and critique model outputs to improve future tools.

The role emphasizes hardware-focused AI reasoning across analog, RF, mixed-signal circuits, electromagnetics, control, devices and materials, and power systems. Flexible, remote work is available.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (native or bilingual).
• 2+ years of industry experience in circuit or electronics engineering.
• Degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or related discipline.
• Ability to defend component-level and system-level decisions.
• Ability to articulate why an answer is wrong.
• Familiarity with AI tools or quick learner.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging, realistic engineering problems from your practice (circuits, control loops, power stages).
• Run problems through frontier AI models and judge outputs to your professional standard.
• Compare two model versions on identical prompts and assess performance differences.
• Critique model-generated derivations, schematics, component selections, and calculations, and write the reasoning.
• Flag concrete failures with evidence (wrong assumptions, sign errors, unphysical results, etc.).
