Job summary

TEEMA Group seeks an experienced Instructor – Electrical Training to deliver high-quality training in classroom and hands-on lab settings. The role involves preparing programs, engaging adult learners, administering exams, and updating courses to reflect industry standards.

The ideal candidate combines strong electrical industry experience with excellent communication and teaching skills, and is comfortable traveling to customer locations to provide training.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in adult education settings.
• 7–15 years of low-voltage industrial installation and troubleshooting.
• Electrical industry knowledge with a strong understanding of theory.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred.
• Experience with low-voltage residential/electronics installation and troubleshooting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations, grounding, conductor ampacity, motor circuits, overcurrent protection, voltage drop, and related calculations.
• Experience with motor controls, PLCs, LV/MV motors, relays, field devices, and electrical control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, one‑line diagrams, mechanical prints, symbols, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of electrical shock and arc‑flash hazards, safety regulations, safe work practices, and PPE.
• Experience with basic electrical tools and equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Adobe applications.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical training in classroom and laboratory environments.
• Prepare lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on lab exercises.
• Lead classroom discussions and maintain an engaging learning environment.
• Administer and grade examinations with feedback to students.
• Apply industry standards and safe work practices to training content and lab activities.
• Develop new training programs and improve existing courses to meet customer needs.
• Travel to customer locations as needed to provide training.
