Caterpillar is seeking a skilled engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of generator control switchgear systems across power generation projects. You will deliver automation solutions from concept through commissioning, working both independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include retrofit opportunities, PLC/HMI development, and field support. The role requires a BSEE/BSEET or related experience, and travel up to half the time in the U.S.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience with degree (or 4+ years without).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.

Responsabilidades

• Identify retrofit opportunities and define project scope with dealers and factory teams.
• Design, program, test, and commission LV/MV generator paralleling control systems.
• Convert legacy PLC programs to current platforms and validate performance.
• Develop and modify PLC and HMI applications using standard templates.
• Collaborate with CAD to produce wiring and assembly drawings.
• Provide field support and conduct technical risk assessments.
• Train technicians and customers on maintenance and system operation.
