Job summary

Bowman is seeking an Electrical Studies Engineer II to work remotely within the United States. The role focuses on power system electrical studies for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems, including short circuit, load flow, grounding, and protection coordination using industry tools.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in electrical engineering, 3+ years in renewable energy studies, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related).
• 3+ years in Renewable Energy power system studies.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• Medium voltage design and interconnection experience.
• Experience with substations, distribution, and transmission systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex Power System Studies and Interconnection assignments.
• Coordinate with PV/BESS design engineers, substation engineers, OEMs, utilities, and contractors.
• Develop study scopes and calculation packages; build and maintain electrical models.
• Review inputs, results, and reports for QA/QC; provide technical feedback.
• Manage tasks within budgets and meet milestones.
