Job summary

Bowman is seeking an Electrical Engineer II, PV & BESS to join our team remotely in the United States. You will execute design, drafting, and analysis for large-scale Solar PV and battery energy storage projects with a team of engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include creating electrical plans, coordination with engineers, and producing construction documents while maintaining schedule and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required at time of employment.
• 3+ years’ electrical design experience in Solar PV and/or BESS engineering.
• Solar PV and Energy storage system design experience is required.
• NABCEP Certification preferred.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD required.
• Experience with PV system modeling software is preferred.
• Ability to perform shading analyses is preferred.
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge clearly is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical plan sets, site layouts, and equipment details.
• Draft layouts, installation details, and single-line diagrams (AC/DC).
• Coordinate with design engineers and other disciplines.
• Collaborate with licensed Engineers on electrical system designs.
• Provide estimates and monitor task progress; report status to managers.
• Attend coordination and design meetings and coordinate with clients and vendors.
• Maintain project budgets and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
