Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Engineer III, PV & BESS to join our team remotely in the United States.

This licensed professional will lead electrical design work on solar PV and battery energy storage projects, perform studies, and ensure PE-approved, code-compliant designs. The successful candidate will have a PE license, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with clients and sub-consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Utility Scale PV and BESS design experience required.
• NABCEP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical plan sets and site layouts.
• Oversee contractors and provide technical guidance during execution.
• Perform electrical studies (short circuit, arc flash, load flow, grounding).
• Prepare and review PV/BESS electrical designs for PE approval.
• Interface with utilities for interconnection designs and approvals.
• Coordinate with design engineers and sub-consultants in projects.
• Produce construction documents meeting schedules and budgets.
