Job summary

Agent Careers is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical & HVAC Estimator to join a Maryland-based client team. The role focuses on preparing competitive bids and detailed cost estimates for commercial electrical and HVAC projects in the U.S. market, working remotely within the client’s systems and processes.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of U.S. estimating experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to own the estimating process from scope review through bid preparation while coordinating

Qualifications

• 3+ years of U.S. market estimating experience.
• Experience estimating commercial electrical and/or HVAC projects.
• Strong understanding of U.S. commercial construction pricing and practices.
• Experience with Maryland or Mid-Atlantic projects is highly preferred.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and bids for commercial electrical and HVAC projects.
• Review plans, specifications, scopes, and bid documents to determine labor, materials, equipment, and total costs.
• Analyze project requirements and develop pricing for Maryland commercial market.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for electrical and/or HVAC scopes.
• Work directly within client systems and estimating platforms.
• Maintain organized estimating records and pricing information.
• Collaborate with the client team throughout the estimating and bidding process.
• Research and apply current market pricing, labor costs, and material costs.
• Identify cost risks, scope gaps, and discrepancies before bids are submitted.
• Help improve and maintain efficient estimating workflows and processes.
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple estimates with accuracy.
