Job summary

Consertus is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Estimator to support WMATA projects within Infrastructure Construction Estimating Support Services. This role is fully remote, part-time and on-call with an Eastern Time schedule.

The estimator will develop independent electrical cost estimates for infrastructure projects, interpret drawings, and support negotiations and data management. Ideal candidates bring several years of electrical estimating experience, strong MS 365 skills, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience performing electrical cost estimating for construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with cost estimating practices, including quantity takeoffs and basis/assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Support assigned estimating tasks and deliverables under a Task Manager.
• Prepare independent electrical cost estimates from plans and contract documents.
• Review project docs to develop estimate assumptions and takeoffs.
• Analyze scope, quantities, and constructability; validate pricing and align details to project phase.
• Assist with negotiations by evaluating pricing, scope, and cost drivers.
• Coordinate with internal team to ensure estimates are complete and well documented.
• Maintain historical cost data and estimating resources for future estimates.
