Kinectrics AES, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Field Inspection & Testing Engineer to support power generation, substations, and transmission systems across Texas. The role blends electrical inspections, regulatory compliance, and field testing/commissioning support for U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in power systems.
• 7+ years of experience in power generation, transmission, or substation environments.
• Strong knowledge of power system equipment, testing, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical inspections of renewable plants, substations, and transmission assets.
• Lead and execute compliance audits (ERCOT / Weather Emergency Preparedness / regulatory standards).
• Identify non-compliance risks, equipment deficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop technical reports and track corrective actions.
• Support electrical testing & commissioning (cable testing, grounding, field diagnostics).
• Coordinate multi-site field activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders, providing clear project updates.
