Kinectrics AES, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Field Inspection & Testing Engineer to support power generation, substations, and transmission systems across Texas. This role blends electrical inspections, regulatory compliance, and field testing/commissioning support. The position is remote, ideally located in Dallas/Ft.

Worth or Houston, with heavy travel (50-60%) within TX and occasional U.S. travel. You will perform inspections, audits, and develop technical reports while coordinating with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent power systems experience.
• 7+ years of experience in power generation, transmission, or substation environments.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical inspections of renewable plants, substations and transmission assets.
• Lead and execute compliance audits (ERCOT / Weather Emergency Preparedness / regulatory standards).
• Identify non-compliance risks, equipment deficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop technical reports and track corrective actions.
• Support electrical testing and commissioning (cable testing, grounding, field diagnostics).
• Coordinate multi-site field activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders, providing clear project updates.
