Job summary

A leading staffing agency is looking for Remote Electrical Estimators to support electric utility projects. You will create estimates, assist in project management, and provide guidance to clients. Candidates with 3-15 years of estimating experience specifically in Substation and Transmission will excel. Full-time position offering competitive pay and benefits including medical and 401(k).

Qualifications

3-15 years of estimating experience in electric utility industry, specifically Substation and Transmission.
Experience with substation design, construction, and/or testing.
Experience with Transmission line design, construction, and/or testing.

Responsibilities

Create utility project estimates.
Act as an extension of the client’s team and provide best-in-class service.
Provide assistance to the Project Management Team as requested.

Skills

Solid understanding of engineering design / drawing packages

Solid understanding of substation construction tasks

Solid financial acumen

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Microsoft Office with strong excel skills

Ability to mine and analyze data

Education

High school or GED

BS degree in engineering or similar technical BS degree

Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Insight Global is looking to hire a team of Remote Electrical Estimators, to our client's growing electric utility team! As an Estimator, you will create utility project estimates, act as an extension of our client’s team and provide best‑in‑class service. As an Estimator, you will be involved with consulting on select projects where your expertise and guidance is requested as well as providing assistance to the Project Management Team as requested.

Required Skills & Experience

Solid understanding of engineering design / drawing packages.
Solid understanding of substation construction tasks involved with Project Execution.
Solid financial acumen.
High school or GED required
BS degree in engineering or similar technical BS degree is advantageous
3-15 years of estimating experience within the electric utility industry is required specifically related to Substation and Transmission estimating or engineering.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is highly preferred
Microsoft Office with strong excel skills (required)
Nice to Have: Sage Estimating software (highly advantageous)
Experience with substation design, construction, and/or testing (aligned with estimating experience)
Experience with Transmission line design, construction, and/or testing.
Ability to mine and analyze data.
