Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Estimator to join our construction-focused team in a Hybrid/Remote capacity. The role offers 100% company-paid benefits and a salary between $100,000 and $150,000 per year, with limited travel.

In this position you will review drawings, prepare detailed estimates for EHV transmission line projects, and collaborate with PMs, engineers, and contractors to secure cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience in construction.
• Experience with EHV transmission lines and transmission line construction.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and interpreting electrical drawings and blueprints to understand the scope of work and to determine the cost, materials, and labor required for the project.
• Preparing detailed cost estimates and bids for EHV transmission line projects, ensuring all costs are accurately accounted for.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather detailed information about a project.
• Analyzing different suppliers and contractors to get the best cost-effective deals.
• Using Microsoft Office tools to prepare reports and presentations, and to track and manage project costs.
