Job summary

Above Group, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer (EE) to contribute to power, lighting, grounding and life safety system design. The role involves leading and mentoring staff, and serving as engineer of record from concept through construction.

The EE will perform calculations, ensure NEC/code compliance, and prepare design narratives and field reports. Proficiency with Revit/AutoCAD is required; SKM Powertools and AGI32/Visual are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• ABET-accredited degree required; PE license preferred/required depending on jurisdiction.
• Experience with Power, Lighting, Grounding, Lightning Protection, Fire Alarm, Communications and Electronic Security systems.
• Familiarity with load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and arc flash hazard analysis.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD; SKM Powertools and AGI32/Visual are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design efforts for power, lighting, grounding and life safety systems.
• Lead and mentor junior staff; participate as engineer of record from concept to construction.
• Perform or review load flow, short-circuit and arc flash analyses; ensure code compliance.
• Prepare design documents, basis of design narratives, and field verification reports.
• Collaborate with project team and communicate effectively with clients and contractors.
