Job summary

Onward Search is seeking an Electrical Engineer III for a remote, nationwide role. You will design, develop, and optimize power systems, provide technical mentorship, and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities include developing switchgear and switchboard designs, creating drawings and schematics, selecting components, and coordinating testing and field support to meet client and regulatory standards. This is a full-time position with an application deadline of 08/28/2026.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electrical/manufacturing engineering.
• Proficient in UL, NEC, ANSI, and IEEE standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or EPLAN.
• Experience with high-reliability electrical assemblies, automation, or testing systems is a plus.
• Field service knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for switchgear and switchboards per customer specifications.
• Create detailed drawings, schematics, and elevations for power distribution and control systems.
• Select electrical components like circuit breakers and relays based on performance and standards.
• Oversee verification of system functions through testing and coordinating with field teams.
• Manage project timelines from design to validation, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory standards.
