Job summary

Onward Energy seeks a Manager - Electrical Engineering to lead a team of generation engineering professionals in a remote-capable role. You will drive safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance, guiding engineering analyses, procurement, and construction on plant improvement projects.

The role requires a strong background in power generation, supervision experience, and the ability to coordinate across departments to deliver cost-effective solutions while maintaining schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; PE license preferred or equivalent experience.
• Ten (10) years of related experience in power generation, transmission and/or distribution.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance goals are met.
• Provide leadership through workforce and succession planning.
• Give regular performance feedback and develop employees.
• Lead engineering analysis, standards, and guidelines for plant improvements.
• Oversee project designs and engineered solutions for power plant equipment.
• Coordinate design with contractors and suppliers to meet functional needs.
• Prepare budgets and justify maintenance and efficiency improvements.
