Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Consulting group. This remote/virtual position allows candidates located anywhere in the United States.

The role supports gas generation, renewable energy, battery energy storage, and utility planning/advisory work. You will work with developers, lenders, and investors on owner’s engineer engagements for utility-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical engineering design for utility-scale power/storage projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities for technical discussions.
• Ability to collaborate with EPC teams and Owners’ Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review EPC RFP packages and technical specifications.
• Evaluate EPC proposals and assist in selecting preferred contractors.
• Provide technical support during EPC contract negotiations.
• Review electrical equipment specs and design drawings.
• Comment on contractor electrical engineering design packages (transformers, switchgear, PV/battery systems).
